Susan Diehl captures light and shadow in textural brushstrokes. With strong values and colors playing together she captures stories of life, from beautiful vistas to city sidewalk scenes, to intimate, rich still lifes.  Describing her show, Susan states:

"Life is like a tapestry. Its richly woven relationships and events create a beautiful fabric.  Highs and lows with family and friends become strands of our happenings, sketching a profile that becomes our memoir.  Without the loom, and armed only with my oils, I have been interested in creating  a pattern of  texture with layers of oil paint, developing a surface quality capable of invoking the mysteries within the viewer's mind."
